This year, for our anniversary, we stayed 2 nights in the beautiful Napa Valley town of Calistoga.
No trip to Calistoga is complete without a mud bath. This photo was intended for the Christmas cards but we didn't get the roll developed in time.
We ate and hiked and ate and drank and ate. It was good.
One of the places we ate at was Babette's in the town of Sonoma. The restaurant is in an alley off the main historic square, past a couple of bars and curio shops. Inside, we were treated to the best dinner (by far) that we have ever eaten. We each had the prix fixe which includes 5 courses each of which has 3 possible selections. Along with the wine pairings, that made 10 dishes and 10 glasses of wines in the 3+ hour evening. Did I mention that it was good?
