We already had theater tickets for Saturday night. So, we just stayed
the night in the Haight-Ashbury. It was a beautiful morning as we rolled out
of the bed at the Red Victorian and
into our running clothes.
I had intended to use this race to dial-in the pace I would use in the Marathon next month. I failed miserably. Instead of maintaining a steady 141 to 151 HR, I let the race get
into me. As you can see, I spent most of the time around 168 bpm. This was
not disciplined running! On the positive side: I sustained 9 1/2 to 10 minute
mile pace for about 70 minutes with enough energy left to sprint up hill to
the finish line. See the results at bridgetobridge.com |
