Those who know don't tell

Last year, Joanne engineered a Barrington reunion at a campground (Memorial, I think) in San Mateo county. I got no pictures of that event - the film in my instant camera had gone bad. All I got was bits and pieces of people: a foot, a hand, a small area of clothing. I vowed this would never happen again. This year I stopped at K-Mart (or was it Target? I can't tell them apart...) and bought a fresh pack of Polaroid 600 film...
The following text refers to these 4 pictures and 4 to follow further down this page. You can download 2x resolution copies of each individual photo by clicking on the link in each of the following paragraphs. Or, you can get the 2x version of all 8 of them by clicking here (68k wined1.jpg). The text refers to the photos in right to left order because I put them on the scanner in reverse order. I'm not very good with a Xerox machine either...

The first thing to do, when one finds a long lost roommate, is take a photo. This one is of Mary, Michael, Me (Bob), and Antoinette posing together (8k, antoin1.jpg, top right). A big thank you goes out to Frank (Laskey) Rooney for taking one of the best photos (of me, of course) of the night. Michael's wife, Amy, is in the background.

Within minutes of arriving at the banquet room at Zza's, I had consumed enough Red Tail Ale to seriously impair my photo compositional skills (at the least). From right to left: Jayne, her husband Dan, and, of course, Antoinette. They were the only ones who looked around when I yelled "Hey everybody, look over here".
I don't know why anyone would download this terrible photo (7k jpg called jayne1.jpg, 3rd on the top).

This shot needs a great deal of cropping. I took it after I yelled "Hey, Sam" to get Sam Begler to face the camera. It worked about as well as the "Hey everybody..." attempt.

As people began to dig into the fab hors d'oevrs, Mike and Sharron (both standing) discuss a topic that we can only guess at... Perhaps Sharron is refusing to pour Mike a glass of wine. Or, maybe Mike is telling Sharron how many of these people didn't RSVP (Mike helped with the organization) for the evening.

After a wonderful dinner, things got (as is traditional) a little noisier. I don't remember if Christine got up to dance on the table, or merely to ask the assembled mass of Barringtonians for a pack of rolling papers...
Download this photo of Christine (9k called christn1.jpg, bottom 3rd).

Katharina and Peter are in the background, standing; Amy and Michael are seated in the foreground. I think Peter is telling everyone to list their address, but I don't remember exactly. It doesn't really matter - Peter always has something to say...
Download this photo of Peter, Katharina ... (8k called peter1.jpg, bottom right).

As Mary, I, and Joanne (right to left, again) prepared to leave, Katharina snuck up on us for this shot. The T-shirt I'm wearing (and Mary has one over here shoulder) was printed by Peter R. from the original Onngh Yanngh artwork. Good going, Peter!

I have no idea who this last person is.
Download this photo of someone I didn't meet (7k called gd1.jpg, bottom 2nd). Click here to compose a note to Bob (me), say, with a caption for this photo?

Those who tell don't know

Really Big Co-op points go to Janene, for making this whole thing happen from idea to cleanup!
